Treatment

Fenton's reagent was used as a polishing step to make landfill leachates acceptable to POTWs. Fenton's treatment moderately reduces COD and to a greater extent the polyphenolic compounds. The treatment also led to a significant increase of oxygen-containing functional groups in EPS molecules.
