1-myristoyl-2-palmitoyl-sn-glycero-3-phosphocholine | A phosphatidylcholine 30:0 in which the phosphatidyl acyl groups at positions 1 and 2 are myristoyl (tetradecanoyl) and palmitoyl (hexadecanoyl) respectively. | 1-myristoyl-2-palmitoyl-sn-glycero-3-phosphocholine |
dimyristoyl diglyceride | A 1,2-diglyceride in which the acyl groups at positions 1 and 2 are specifed as tetradecanoyl. | 1,2 ditetradecanoylglycerol |
dimyristoylphosphatidylcholine | A 1,2-diacyl-sn-glycero-3-phosphocholine where the two phosphatidyl acyl groups are specified as tetradecanoyl (myristoyl). | 1,2-di-O-myristoyl-sn-glycero-3-phosphocholine |
dimyristoylphosphatidylsulfocholine | A 1,2-diacyl-sn-glycero-3-phosphosulfocholine where the two phosphatidyl acyl groups are specified as tetradecanoyl (myristoyl). | 1,2-di-O-myristoyl-sn-glycero-3-phosphosulfocholine |
kdo2-lipid a | (Kdo)2-lipid A (E. coli) | |
lipid a | The glycolipid moiety of the lipopolysaccharide produced by E. coli. | lipid A (E. coli) |
tetradecanoylphorbol acetate | A phorbol ester that is phorbol in which the hydroxy groups at the cyclopropane ring juction (position 13) and the adjacent carbon (position 12) have been converted into the corresponding acetate and myristate esters. It is a major active constituent of the seed oil of Croton tiglium. It has been used as a tumour promoting agent for skin carcinogenesis in rodents and is associated with increased cell proliferation of malignant cells. However its function is controversial since a decrease in cell proliferation has also been observed in several cancer cell types. | phorbol 13-acetate 12-myristate |
tetramyristoyl cardiolipin | A cardiolipin derivative in which all four of the phosphatidyl acyl groups are specified as myristoyl (tetradecanoyl). | tetramyristoyl cardiolipin |
trimyristin | A triglyceride obtained by formal acylation of the three hydroxy groups of glycerol by myristic (tetradecanoic) acid. | trimyristin |
