Description

Imidazoleacetic acid (IAA) is a heterocyclic compound with a carboxyl group attached to the imidazole ring. It is a naturally occurring compound that has been found in various biological systems, including bacteria, plants, and animals. IAA is also known as histidine decarboxylase (HDC) and is an important intermediate in the biosynthesis of histamine, a neurotransmitter involved in allergic reactions and inflammation.
