dyclonine

Description Research Excerpts Clinical Trials Roles Classes Pathways Study Profile Bioassays Related Drugs Related Conditions Protein Interactions Research Growth Market Indicators

Dyclonine is a topical anesthetic that is used to numb the skin and mucous membranes. It is available as a cream, gel, lotion, and spray. Dyclonine is commonly used to relieve pain and itching caused by conditions such as hemorrhoids, eczema, and insect bites. It is also used in dentistry to numb the gums before procedures. The mechanism of action of dyclonine is not fully understood, but it is thought to block the transmission of pain signals along nerve fibers. Dyclonine is generally safe for short-term use. However, it can cause side effects such as redness, burning, and itching. Dyclonine should not be used on open wounds or large areas of skin. It should also not be used in people who are allergic to it. '
