Description

9-Methoxyellipticine is an alkaloid that exhibits potent antitumor activity. It was first isolated from the plant Ochrosia grandiflora in the 1960s and has been the subject of extensive research due to its promising anticancer properties. The compound is known to bind to DNA and interfere with DNA replication and transcription. It has been shown to be effective against a variety of cancer cell lines, including leukemia, lymphoma, and lung cancer. In preclinical studies, 9-methoxyellipticine has demonstrated significant antitumor activity and has also shown promising results in clinical trials for the treatment of certain types of cancer.'
