Description

Tricalcium phosphate (TCP) is a naturally occurring inorganic compound with the chemical formula Ca3(PO4)2. It is a white, odorless, and tasteless powder that is insoluble in water but soluble in acids. TCP is a common component of bones and teeth, and it is also used in a variety of industrial applications.

TCP is typically synthesized by reacting calcium oxide with phosphoric acid. The reaction can be carried out in a variety of ways, depending on the desired purity and particle size of the TCP.

TCP has a wide range of biological effects, including bone regeneration, dental remineralization, and the delivery of drugs and other therapeutic agents.
