Treatment

Treatment with rosin (50 μmol) inhibited papilloma formation up to week 8 and the percentage of papillomas bearers in this group was less than 80% at week 20. The rosin-chloroform treated gutta-percha induced a similar tissue reaction to that observed with the fine particles of gutta -percha.

Dosage Studied

A clear dose-response relationship was obtained by patch testing with gum rosin. A concentration of 10% in petrolatum is well worth considering for routine testing.
