Description

11-hydroxyandrostenedione, also known as 11-OH-AD, is a natural steroid hormone produced in the adrenal glands. It is a precursor to the potent androgen, 11-ketotestosterone, and is also a substrate for the aromatase enzyme, which converts it to the estrogen estrone. 11-OH-AD has been shown to have anabolic effects in animal models, and has been studied for its potential therapeutic applications in conditions such as osteoporosis and muscle wasting. Research on 11-OH-AD has also focused on its role in regulating reproductive function and its potential as a biomarker for adrenal dysfunction.'
