Description

Iodic acid (HIO3) is a white, crystalline solid that is soluble in water. It is a strong oxidizing agent and is used in the production of iodine and other iodine compounds. It is synthesized by reacting iodine with concentrated nitric acid. Iodic acid is a strong acid and can cause burns to the skin and eyes. It is also a respiratory irritant. Iodic acid is an important reagent in the production of iodine and other iodine compounds. It is also used in analytical chemistry as a primary standard for titrations. Iodic acid is studied because it is a useful reagent in a variety of chemical processes. It is also of interest to scientists because it is a strong oxidizing agent and can be used to study the properties of other compounds.'
