Research Excerpts
Overview
Hispolon is a small molecular weight polyphenol that has antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and anti-proliferative activities. Hispolon (HISP) is a bioactive compound isolated from Phellinu linteus.
Effects
Hispolon has been shown to have anticancer effects on various tumors. Hispolon is a polyphenol. It has been reported to possess antioxidant, antiinflammatory, and antitumor activities.
Actions
Hispolon could increase the body weight coefficient, serum E2 and progesterone contents in immature female mice at dose of 9.10×10(-6) mol/kg. Hispolon was shown to increase the serum 17β-estradiol in vivo.
