Description

Dodicin is a naturally occurring antimicrobial peptide with a broad spectrum of activity against bacteria, fungi, and viruses. It is produced by the skin glands of the European toad, Bufo bufo. Dodicin's antimicrobial activity is attributed to its ability to disrupt the cell membrane of microorganisms. It has also been shown to have immunomodulatory effects, stimulating the production of cytokines and enhancing the activity of immune cells. Dodicin is currently being studied for its potential as a therapeutic agent for the treatment of infections and inflammatory diseases. Its high potency, broad spectrum of activity, and low toxicity make it a promising candidate for the development of novel antibiotics and immunomodulatory drugs.'
