Description

Furnidipine is a dihydropyridine calcium channel blocker. It is a potent and selective inhibitor of the L-type calcium channel. It is used to treat hypertension and angina pectoris. Furnidipine is well absorbed orally and has a long half-life. It is metabolized in the liver and excreted in the urine. Furnidipine is generally well tolerated, but it can cause side effects such as headache, dizziness, and flushing. It is contraindicated in patients with severe heart failure and those who are allergic to dihydropyridine calcium channel blockers.'
