xylazine and Injury, Myocardial Reperfusion

xylazine has been researched along with Injury, Myocardial Reperfusion in 4 studies

Xylazine: An adrenergic alpha-2 agonist used as a sedative, analgesic and centrally acting muscle relaxant in VETERINARY MEDICINE.
xylazine : A methyl benzene that is 1,3-dimethylbenzene which is substituted by a 5,6-dihydro-4H-1,3-thiazin-2-ylnitrilo group at position 2. It is an alpha2 adrenergic receptor agonist and frequently used in veterinary medicine as an emetic and sedative with analgesic and muscle relaxant properties.

"To investigate the influence of thiopental (85 mg/kg, intraperitoneally (ip)), and ketamine+xylazine (ketamine 75 mg/kg and xylazine 8 mg/kg, ip) anesthesia on the incidence and duration of ischemia/reperfusion-induced arrhythmias."7.81Comparison of thiopental and ketamine+xylazine anesthesia in ischemia/reperfusion-induced arrhythmias in rats. ( Gonca, E, 2015)
" In contrast to ketamine/xylazine, this represents a more physiological, translatable strategy for suppression of cardiomyocyte (18)F-FDG uptake when targeting myocardial inflammation."3.81Clinically relevant strategies for lowering cardiomyocyte glucose uptake for 18F-FDG imaging of myocardial inflammation in mice.
