Pruritus, a rare but troublesome adverse reaction of topiramate. Seizure, 2003, Volume: 12, Issue:7 Case series report of presence of pruritus in five patients taking topiramate for treatment of epilepsy. This is a benign side effect of topiramate not previously reported that interfered with seizure treatment. Four out of five patients have previous history of antiepileptic drug (AED) allergy. Only one patient improved with a very slow titration, three of them discontinued treatment and one remained on a sub-therapeutic dose.
