tolazoline and Chemical Dependence

tolazoline has been researched along with Chemical Dependence in 4 studies

Tolazoline: A vasodilator that apparently has direct actions on blood vessels and also increases cardiac output. Tolazoline can interact to some degree with histamine, adrenergic, and cholinergic receptors, but the mechanisms of its therapeutic effects are not clear. It is used in treatment of persistent pulmonary hypertension of the newborn.
tolazoline : A member of the class of imidazoles that is 4,5-dihydro-1H-imidazole substituted by a benzyl group.

"Clonidine poisoning usually causes depressed sensorium, hypotension, and bradycardia."4.76Clonidine overdose: report of six cases and review of the literature. ( Anderson, RJ; Crumpler, CP; Hart, GR; Lerman, MJ, 1981)
"Morphine treatment was associated with an immediate (15-30 min) inhibition of gastric and colonic spiking activity and intestinal migrating myoelectric complex lasting 6 to 8 hr, followed by a partial recovery of gastric spiking activity while a permanent disorganized motility pattern persisted on the intestine."1.27Effects of centrally administered naloxone on gastrointestinal myoelectrical activity in morphine-dependent rats.
