Multiple Primary Osseous B-Lymphoblastic Lymphoma/Leukemia Shown on Bone Scintigraphy.
    Clinical nuclear medicine, 2021, Aug-01, Volume: 46, Issue:8

Primary osseous B-lymphoblastic lymphoma/leukemia is very rare, especially multiple bones involved. Herein, we reported the bone scintigraphy findings in a 16-year-old adolescent boy with a 20-day history of right thigh pain caused by B-lymphoblastic lymphoma/leukemia. Multiple abnormal MDP-avid foci were noted on 99mTc-MDP bone scintigraphy. Interestingly, the CT images of corresponding lesions were unrevealing. Finally, the B-lymphoblastic lymphoma/leukemia was confirmed by pathology and immunohistochemistry.

Growth Plate Suppression in an Adolescent Patient With Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia After Treatment.
    Clinical nuclear medicine, 2018, Volume: 43, Issue:7

Osteotoxic effect is a common adverse effect of chemotherapy for childhood acute lymphoblastic leukemia. The pathophysiology of impaired bone growth is multifactorial and can affect both osteoblast and osteoclast function. Significant contribution in affecting skeletal metabolism belongs to high-dose corticosteroid treatment. We present the case of a 12-year-old adolescent girl who was treated for high-risk pro-B acute lymphoblastic leukemia. The Tc-MDP bone scan, as a sensitive indicator of osteoblastic activity, shows that growth plate inhibition after intensive treatment may be temporary and reversible.

Voriconazole-induced periostitis in two post-transplant patients.
Journal of radiology case reports, 2013, Volume: 7, Issue:8

While drug-related periostitis has been known of for many years, the specific association of diffuse periostitis with voriconazole (most frequently in transplant patients) has only been recently explicitly addressed in the literature. Recognition of the radiologic and clinical manifestations of voriconazole-related periostitis is important for helping to narrow an otherwise broad differential diagnosis. We present two cases that illustrate different radiologic presentations of this painful cause of diffuse periostitis. Case 1 features a 60 year-old woman with a history of orthotopic heart transplant who was hospitalized for "full body pain" with progressively worsening bone tenderness involving the humeri, knees, femurs, hips, and hands. Case 2 describes a 48 year-old man with a history of acute lymphoblastic leukemia status post stem cell transplant who presented with diffuse arthralgias involving bilateral ankles, knees, wrists, and elbows.
