sulforaphane and Prostatic Intraepithelial Neoplasia

sulforaphane has been researched along with Prostatic Intraepithelial Neoplasia in 1 studies

sulforaphane: from Cardaria draba L.
sulforaphane : An isothiocyanate having a 4-(methylsulfinyl)butyl group attached to the nitrogen.

Prostatic Intraepithelial Neoplasia: A premalignant change arising in the prostatic epithelium, regarded as the most important and most likely precursor of prostatic adenocarcinoma. The neoplasia takes the form of an intra-acinar or ductal proliferation of secretory cells with unequivocal nuclear anaplasia, which corresponds to nuclear grade 2 and 3 invasive prostate cancer.

" We have shown previously that oral administration of sulforaphane (SFN) significantly inhibits the incidence and/or burden of prostatic intraepithelial neoplasia and well-differentiated adenocarcinoma in TRansgenic Adenocarcinoma of Mouse Prostate (TRAMP) mice."3.88Prostate cancer chemoprevention by sulforaphane in a preclinical mouse model is associated with inhibition of fatty acid metabolism.
