salicylamide and Kidney Failure, Chronic

salicylamide has been researched along with Kidney Failure, Chronic in 1 studies

salamide: a major impurity of hydrochlorothiazide; structure in first source

Kidney Failure, Chronic: The end-stage of CHRONIC RENAL INSUFFICIENCY. It is characterized by the severe irreversible kidney damage (as measured by the level of PROTEINURIA) and the reduction in GLOMERULAR FILTRATION RATE to less than 15 ml per min (Kidney Foundation: Kidney Disease Outcome Quality Initiative, 2002). These patients generally require HEMODIALYSIS or KIDNEY TRANSPLANTATION.

Research Excerpts

ExcerptRelevanceReference
" It is a process of limited capacity; the extent of sulfate conjugate formation and the metabolic clearance of drugs subject to conjugation with sulfate depend therefore on the dose, the dosage form, the route of administration, and the rate and duration of administration as well as on the pharmacokinetic parameters of competing processes."1.27Sulfate conjugation in drug metabolism: role of inorganic sulfate.
