saccharin and Rhinitis

saccharin has been researched along with Rhinitis in 14 studies

Saccharin: Flavoring agent and non-nutritive sweetener.
saccharin : A 1,2-benzisothiazole having a keto-group at the 3-position and two oxo substituents at the 1-position. It is used as an artificial sweetening agent.

Rhinitis: Inflammation of the NASAL MUCOSA, the mucous membrane lining the NASAL CAVITIES.

"The use of the drug Sinupret extract not only contributes to a more rapid improvement in the general well-being of patients and a decrease in the severity of complaints, but also leads to an improvement in the objective picture of the disease (rhinoscopy, the results of anterior active rhinomanometry, saccharin test) compared with the control group, favorably affects the quality life of patients, causes a decrease in economic and social costs against the background of the development of acute viral rhinosinusitis."4.31[Possibilities of usage of modern herbal medicinal product in the treatment of patients with acute viral rhinosinusitis]. Trial Outcomes

To Measure the Distribution of Nasal Sprays and Drops.

CT scan scored for distribution contrast delivered by nasal spray or drops within subsets in the nasal cavity. The sinonasal cavity was divided into twenty-one subsites on each side of the nasal cavity. The interpreters scored for the presence (1) or absence (0) of contrast from the nasal spray or nasal drops within each subsite. Left and right sides were interpreted separately for a possible total score of 0-42 for each CT scan. (NCT00626366)
