pyridoxal phosphate and Celiac Sprue

pyridoxal phosphate has been researched along with Celiac Sprue in 5 studies

Pyridoxal Phosphate: This is the active form of VITAMIN B 6 serving as a coenzyme for synthesis of amino acids, neurotransmitters (serotonin, norepinephrine), sphingolipids, aminolevulinic acid. During transamination of amino acids, pyridoxal phosphate is transiently converted into pyridoxamine phosphate (PYRIDOXAMINE).
pyridoxal 5'-phosphate : The monophosphate ester obtained by condensation of phosphoric acid with the primary hydroxy group of pyridoxal.

"The concentration of serum pyridoxal phosphate was determined before and 15, 30, 60, 90, and 120 minutes following an oral load test with 5 mg pyridoxine hydrochloride/kg body weight in 14 children with acute celiac disease and in 15 control subjects."3.66Vitamin B-6 absorption in children with acute celiac disease and in control subjects.
