putrescine and Kidney Failure, Chronic

putrescine has been researched along with Kidney Failure, Chronic in 6 studies

Kidney Failure, Chronic: The end-stage of CHRONIC RENAL INSUFFICIENCY. It is characterized by the severe irreversible kidney damage (as measured by the level of PROTEINURIA) and the reduction in GLOMERULAR FILTRATION RATE to less than 15 ml per min (Kidney Foundation: Kidney Disease Outcome Quality Initiative, 2002). These patients generally require HEMODIALYSIS or KIDNEY TRANSPLANTATION.

"As acrolein was a major toxic compound produced from spermine by polyamine oxidase, the levels of free and protein-conjugated acrolein in plasma were also measured."2.43Polyamines in renal failure. ( Igarashi, K; Kashiwagi, K; Ueda, S; Yoshida, K, 2006)
"In patients with chronic renal failure, the levels of polyamines were obtained in the order of putrescine, cadaverine, spermidine, and spermine: 0."1.27Serum levels of polyamines in patients with chronic renal failure. ( Chung, TG; Ohta, K; Saito, A; Takagi, T, 1983)
