    Since the introduction of fluconazole and itraconazole, there have been few changes in treating fungal infections. Consequently, many clinicians are cautious about overprescribing them as prophylaxis for candidiasis. Among new treatments being developed are two new azoles, voriconizole and SCH 56592. Other antifungals include AmBiosome, Amphotericin B, and pradimicin.
