potassium iodide and Vocal Cord Paralysis

potassium iodide has been researched along with Vocal Cord Paralysis in 3 studies

Potassium Iodide: An inorganic compound that is used as a source of iodine in thyrotoxic crisis and in the preparation of thyrotoxic patients for thyroidectomy. (From Dorland, 27th ed)
potassium iodide : A metal iodide salt with a K(+) counterion. It is a scavenger of hydroxyl radicals.

Vocal Cord Paralysis: Congenital or acquired paralysis of one or both VOCAL CORDS. This condition is caused by defects in the CENTRAL NERVOUS SYSTEM, the VAGUS NERVE and branches of LARYNGEAL NERVES. Common symptoms are VOICE DISORDERS including HOARSENESS or APHONIA.
