potassium iodide and Goiter, Nodular

potassium iodide has been researched along with Goiter, Nodular in 9 studies

Potassium Iodide: An inorganic compound that is used as a source of iodine in thyrotoxic crisis and in the preparation of thyrotoxic patients for thyroidectomy. (From Dorland, 27th ed)
potassium iodide : A metal iodide salt with a K(+) counterion. It is a scavenger of hydroxyl radicals.

Goiter, Nodular: An enlarged THYROID GLAND containing multiple nodules (THYROID NODULE), usually resulting from recurrent thyroid HYPERPLASIA and involution over many years to produce the irregular enlargement. Multinodular goiters may be nontoxic or may induce THYROTOXICOSIS.
