[Nephrogenic adenoma of the bladder treated with cystectomy to control severe irritative symptoms: a case report].
Hinyokika kiyo. Acta urologica Japonica, 2003, Volume: 49, Issue:8

A 68-year-old man was admitted to our hospital for treatment of a recurrent bladder tumor. Histological examination performed after transurethral resection of the bladder tumor (TUR-BT) revealed a nephrogenic adenoma without any evidence of malignancy. After TUR-BT, total cystectomy was performed to control severe irritative symptoms. Prolonged cystitis and intravesical pirarubicin therapy after TUR-BT may have played an etiological role. Our case is the 25th case of nephrogenic adenoma of the bladder reported in the Japanese literature.

[Combination effect of pirarubicin, ifosfamide, and vincristine sulfate in the treatment of advanced synovial sarcoma--report of a case].
Gan to kagaku ryoho. Cancer & chemotherapy, 1995, Volume: 22, Issue:10

Synovial sarcoma with pulmonary metastases appeared to be sensitive to multiagent chemotherapy of Pirarubicin, Ifosfamide, and Vincristine Sulfate. However, this chemotherapy regimen could not be continued because of severe hemorrhagic cystitis due to the toxicity of Ifosfamide. Even in the advanced stage, this multiagent chemotherapy would be useful for the treatment of synovial sarcoma, if hemorrhagic cystitis could be prevented.
