pipemidic acid has been researched along with Cystitis in 9 studies
Pipemidic Acid: Antimicrobial against Gram negative and some Gram positive bacteria. It is protein bound and concentrated in bile and urine and used for gastrointestinal, biliary, and urinary infections.
pipemidic acid : A pyridopyrimidine that is 5-oxo-5,8-dihydropyrido[2,3-d]pyrimidine-6-carboxylic acid substituted at position 2 by a piperazin-1-yl group and at position 8 by an ethyl group. A synthetic broad-spectrum antibacterial, it is used for treatment of gastrointestinal, biliary, and urinary infections.
Cystitis: Inflammation of the URINARY BLADDER, either from bacterial or non-bacterial causes. Cystitis is usually associated with painful urination (dysuria), increased frequency, urgency, and suprapubic pain.

"In order to evaluate the efficacy and safety of fosfomycin trometamol as single dose oral treatment for acute cystitis in women, an open, multicenter comparative study was carried out in general practices in France, 386 women, aged 16 to 75 years, with clinical symptoms of acute cystitis were enrolled in the study to receive either a single 3 g oral dose of fosfomycin trometamol or a five-day course of 400 mg pipemidic acid twice daily." | 5.06 | A general practitioner multicenter study: fosfomycin trometamol single dose versus pipemidic acid multiple dose.
