    The Authors indicates the anatomical elements that put the nose at the center of a complex circuit regarding the nervous system and psyche. Observations on peripheral anatomic structures and neuronal ways are integrated in order to further the understanding of environmental and psychic realities. A close anatomical and functional relationship between the Central Nervous System on one hand and specific behavior patterns on the other is described. In conclusion, elements concerning the relationship between the nose and the psyche are given.
