phenobarbital and Auricular Fibrillation

phenobarbital has been researched along with Auricular Fibrillation in 5 studies

Phenobarbital: A barbituric acid derivative that acts as a nonselective central nervous system depressant. It potentiates GAMMA-AMINOBUTYRIC ACID action on GABA-A RECEPTORS, and modulates chloride currents through receptor channels. It also inhibits glutamate induced depolarizations.
phenobarbital : A member of the class of barbiturates, the structure of which is that of barbituric acid substituted at C-5 by ethyl and phenyl groups.

" Additionally, in this case the interaction was managed with concentration-guided dosing of apixaban, suggesting this approach may represent a feasible strategy for managing patients requiring treatment with direct-acting oral anticoagulants and enzyme-inducing antiepileptic drugs."1.48Managing Direct Oral Anticoagulants in Patients With Antiepileptic Medication.
