penicillin g and Co-infection

penicillin g has been researched along with Co-infection in 12 studies

Penicillin G: A penicillin derivative commonly used in the form of its sodium or potassium salts in the treatment of a variety of infections. It is effective against most gram-positive bacteria and against gram-negative cocci. It has also been used as an experimental convulsant because of its actions on GAMMA-AMINOBUTYRIC ACID mediated synaptic transmission.
benzylpenicillin : A penicillin in which the substituent at position 6 of the penam ring is a phenylacetamido group.

" Intravenous penicillin G was initiated, resulting in a dramatic improvement of the ulcers along with the skin lesions confirming the diagnosis of syphilis proctitis."3.78[Syphilis proctitis complicated with HIV infection: a case report]. "Syphilis is a chronic, multi-stage infectious disease that is usually transmitted sexually by contact with an active lesion of a partner or congenitally from an infected pregnant woman to her fetus."2.52Syphilis: antibiotic treatment and resistance. ( Stamm, LV, 2015)
"Although polymicrobial infections, such as peri-implantitis or periodontitis, were postulated in the literature to be caused by synergistic effects of bacteria, these effects remain unclear looking at antibiotic susceptibility."1.37Antibiotic susceptibility of cocultures in polymicrobial infections such as peri-implantitis or periodontitis: an in vitro model.
