penicillamine and Chronic Kidney Disease-Mineral and Bone Disorder

penicillamine has been researched along with Chronic Kidney Disease-Mineral and Bone Disorder in 1 studies

Penicillamine: 3-Mercapto-D-valine. The most characteristic degradation product of the penicillin antibiotics. It is used as an antirheumatic and as a chelating agent in Wilson's disease.
penicillamine : An alpha-amino acid having the structure of valine substituted at the beta position with a sulfanyl group.

Chronic Kidney Disease-Mineral and Bone Disorder: Decalcification of bone or abnormal bone development due to chronic KIDNEY DISEASES, in which 1,25-DIHYDROXYVITAMIN D3 synthesis by the kidneys is impaired, leading to reduced negative feedback on PARATHYROID HORMONE. The resulting SECONDARY HYPERPARATHYROIDISM eventually leads to bone disorders.
