oxidopamine and Inadequate Sleep

oxidopamine has been researched along with Inadequate Sleep in 7 studies

Oxidopamine: A neurotransmitter analogue that depletes noradrenergic stores in nerve endings and induces a reduction of dopamine levels in the brain. Its mechanism of action is related to the production of cytolytic free-radicals.
oxidopamine : A benzenetriol that is phenethylamine in which the hydrogens at positions 2, 4, and 5 on the phenyl ring are replaced by hydroxy groups. It occurs naturally in human urine, but is also produced as a metabolite of the drug DOPA (used for the treatment of Parkinson's disease).

"Blocking D1-like receptors during sleep deprivation prevented persistent shortterm memory deficits."1.35Persistent short-term memory defects following sleep deprivation in a drosophila model of Parkinson disease. ( Galvin, JE; Gottschalk, L; Seugnet, L; Shaw, PJ; Suzuki, Y, 2009)
"Since both REM sleep deprivation and unilateral 6-OHDA lesions induce supersensitivity of DA receptors, the purpose of this study was to determine whether the response of rats with such lesions would be modified by REM sleep deprivation."1.29Rapid eye movement (REM) sleep deprivation in 6-OHDA nigro-striatal lesioned rats with and without transplants of dissociated chromaffin cells.
