nocodazole and Carcinoma, Hepatocellular

nocodazole has been researched along with Carcinoma, Hepatocellular in 13 studies

Carcinoma, Hepatocellular: A primary malignant neoplasm of epithelial liver cells. It ranges from a well-differentiated tumor with EPITHELIAL CELLS indistinguishable from normal HEPATOCYTES to a poorly differentiated neoplasm. The cells may be uniform or markedly pleomorphic, or form GIANT CELLS. Several classification schemes have been suggested.

Research Excerpts

ExcerptRelevanceReference
"Pretreatment of human hepatoma cells with a caspase 3 inhibitor z-DEVD-FMK, prior to the treatment with an antimicrotubule drug nocodazole, abrogates the mitotic arrest, suggesting that caspase 3 (or a caspase 3-like enzyme) might be involved in mitotic-spindle checkpoint."1.33Caspase 3, periodically expressed and activated at G2/M transition, is required for nocodazole-induced mitotic checkpoint. ( Hsu, SL; Huang, CY; Tang, MJ; Tien, AC; Wu, YM; Yin, SC; Yu, CT, 2006)
"This phenomenon is specific for hepatoma cell lines or primarily cultured hepatocytes."1.32pH-dependent translocation of alpha-tocopherol transfer protein (alpha-TTP) between hepatic cytosol and late endosomes. ( Arai, H; Arita, M; Horiguchi, M; Inoue, K; Kaempf-Rotzoll, DE; Tsujimoto, M, 2003)
"In polarized HepG2 hepatoma cells, sphingolipids are transported to the apical, bile canalicular membrane by two different transport routes, as revealed with fluorescently tagged sphingolipid analogs."1.30Actin filaments and microtubules are involved in different membrane traffic pathways that transport sphingolipids to the apical surface of polarized HepG2 cells. ( Hoekstra, D; Klappe, K; van IJzendoorn, SC; Zaal, KJ; Zegers, MM, 1998)
