nafamostat and Peritonitis

nafamostat has been researched along with Peritonitis in 3 studies

nafamostat: inhibitor of trypsin, plasmin, pancreatic kallikrein, plasma kallikrein & thrombin; strongly inhibits esterolytic activities of C1r & C1 esterase complement-mediated hemolysis; antineoplastic

Peritonitis: INFLAMMATION of the PERITONEUM lining the ABDOMINAL CAVITY as the result of infectious, autoimmune, or chemical processes. Primary peritonitis is due to infection of the PERITONEAL CAVITY via hematogenous or lymphatic spread and without intra-abdominal source. Secondary peritonitis arises from the ABDOMINAL CAVITY itself through RUPTURE or ABSCESS of intra-abdominal organs.

Research Excerpts

ExcerptRelevanceReference
" When the effect of anticomplementary agents (FUT-175 and K-76 COONa) and anti-inflammatory drugs (indomethacin and dexamethasone) on phytohemagglutinin-induced peritonitis was examined, FUT-175, K-76 COONa and indomethacin suppressed only the plasma protein exudation."3.67Studies on phytohemagglutinin-induced peritonitis of mice: dynamics of inflammatory responses and influence of anticomplementary agents and anti-inflammatory drugs. ( Ishibashi, Y; Nagaoka, I; Yamashita, T, 1987)
"Phosphoenolpyruvate (PEP) levels were increased 30% above peritonitis values."1.27Effect of a new synthetic complement inhibitor on hepatic glycolytic intermediates in septic rats. ( Apantaku, FO; Ebata, T; Kuttner, RE; Schumer, W, 1983)
