N-(2-cyclohexyloxy-4-nitrophenyl)methanesulfonamide: structure given in first source
NS-398 : A C-nitro compound that is N-methylsulfonyl-4-nitroaniline bearing an additional cyclohexyloxy substituent at position 2.
Peptic Ulcer: Ulcer that occurs in the regions of the GASTROINTESTINAL TRACT which come into contact with GASTRIC JUICE containing PEPSIN and GASTRIC ACID. It occurs when there are defects in the MUCOSA barrier. The common forms of peptic ulcers are associated with HELICOBACTER PYLORI and the consumption of nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDS).

" On the other hand, the non-selective NOS inhibitor L-NAME but not aminoguanidine (a relatively selective inhibitor of iNOS), significantly potentiated the acid secretory and mucosal ulcerogenic responses in the stomach but reduced the duodenal damage in response to hypothermia, the effects being antagonized by co-administration of L-arginine." | 3.70 | Roles of endogenous prostaglandins and nitric oxide in gastroduodenal ulcerogenic responses induced in rats by hypothermic stress. "However, NSAIDs produce gastroduodenal ulcers in about 25% of users (often with bleeding and/or perforations) and delay ulcer healing, presumably by blocking prostaglandin synthesis from cyclooxygenase (COX)-1 and COX-2 (ref." | 1.30 | Inhibition of angiogenesis by nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs: insight into mechanisms and implications for cancer growth and ulcer healing.
