mitoxantrone and Hidradenitis

mitoxantrone has been researched along with Hidradenitis in 3 studies

Mitoxantrone: An anthracenedione-derived antineoplastic agent.
mitoxantrone : A dihydroxyanthraquinone that is 1,4-dihydroxy-9,10-anthraquinone which is substituted by 6-hydroxy-1,4-diazahexyl groups at positions 5 and 8.

Hidradenitis: The inflammation of a sweat gland (usually of the apocrine type). The condition can be idiopathic or occur as a result of or in association with another underlying condition. Neutrophilic eccrine hidradenitis is a relatively rare variant that has been reported in patients undergoing chemotherapy, usually for non-Hodgkin lymphomas or leukemic conditions.

Research Excerpts

ExcerptRelevanceReference
"Neutrophilic eccrine hidradenitis (NEH) is a neutrophilic dermatosis primarily affecting the eccrine glands, and most commonly seen in patients undergoing chemotherapy for treatment of a malignancy."1.28Recurrent neutrophilic eccrine hidradenitis. ( Bernstein, EF; Spielvogel, RL; Topolsky, DL, 1992)
"We report an additional typical case of neutrophilic eccrine hidradenitis, which was observed in a 57-year-old man with acute myelogenous leukemia."1.28Neutrophilic eccrine hidradenitis. ( Alvero, H; Vion, B, 1991)
