meperidine and Corpus Luteum Cyst

meperidine has been researched along with Corpus Luteum Cyst in 2 studies

Meperidine: A narcotic analgesic that can be used for the relief of most types of moderate to severe pain, including postoperative pain and the pain of labor. Prolonged use may lead to dependence of the morphine type; withdrawal symptoms appear more rapidly than with morphine and are of shorter duration.
pethidine : A piperidinecarboxylate ester that is piperidine which is substituted by a methyl group at position 1 and by phenyl and ethoxycarbonyl groups at position 4. It is an analgesic which is used for the treatment of moderate to severe pain, including postoperative pain and labour pain.

Research Excerpts

ExcerptRelevanceReference
" The authors suggest the use of the new reversal agent suggamadex, for reversing neuromuscular blockade caused by rocuronium, in patients suffering from neuromuscular disease and especially from Myotonic Dystrophy, because it rapidly and completely reverses any residual neuromuscular blockade, but also underline the increased susceptibility of these patients to opioids."3.77Anesthesia for laparoscopic surgery in a patient with myotonic dystrophy (Steinert's disease): beneficial use of sugammadex, but incorrect use of pethidine: a case report.
