lysergic acid diethylamide and Hemorrhage

lysergic acid diethylamide has been researched along with Hemorrhage in 6 studies

Lysergic Acid Diethylamide: Semisynthetic derivative of ergot (Claviceps purpurea). It has complex effects on serotonergic systems including antagonism at some peripheral serotonin receptors, both agonist and antagonist actions at central nervous system serotonin receptors, and possibly effects on serotonin turnover. It is a potent hallucinogen, but the mechanisms of that effect are not well understood.
lysergic acid diethylamide : An ergoline alkaloid arising from formal condensation of lysergic acid with diethylamine.

Hemorrhage: Bleeding or escape of blood from a vessel.

Research Excerpts

ExcerptRelevanceReference
"Malformations of the brain, spinal cord, liver, and other viscera; body edema; and localized hemorrhages were found in fetal hamsters from mothers injected subcutaneously with a single dose of mescaline, lysergic acid diethylamide, or 2-bromo-D lysergic acid diethylamide on the 8th day of pregnancy."3.64Congenital malformations induced by mescaline, lysergic acid diethylamide, and bromolysergic acid in the hamster. ( Geber, WF, 1967)
"Amphetamine was less effective than iproniazid in preventing gastric haemorrhage after reserpine, and the following drugs were ineffective: cocaine, methyl phenidate (Ritalin), amarin, caffeine, nikethamide, lysergic acid diethylamide and its 2-bromo derivative (BOL148)."1.24Mechanism of action of reserpine in producing gastric haemorrhage and erosion in the mouse.
