lansoprazole and Dermatitis Medicamentosa

lansoprazole has been researched along with Dermatitis Medicamentosa in 9 studies

Lansoprazole: A 2,2,2-trifluoroethoxypyridyl derivative of timoprazole that is used in the therapy of STOMACH ULCERS and ZOLLINGER-ELLISON SYNDROME. The drug inhibits H(+)-K(+)-EXCHANGING ATPASE which is found in GASTRIC PARIETAL CELLS. Lansoprazole is a racemic mixture of (R)- and (S)-isomers.

"After 2 months of treatment with imatinib 400 mg/day, a 60-year-old white female affected by GIST developed bilateral palpebral edema with hyperemic conjunctivae and labial edema when lansoprazole 15 mg/day was introduced to treat dyspeptic symptomatology."7.73Adverse reactions during imatinib and lansoprazole treatment in gastrointestinal stromal tumors. ( Ardau, R; Chillotti, C; De Lisa, R; Del Zompo, M; Severino, G, 2005)
" pylori-infected patients with endoscopically documented duodenal ulcer either currently or within the past year were randomized to 14 days of (1) lansoprazole, 30 mg bid, plus amoxicillin, 1 gm tid; (2) lansoprazole, 30 mg tid, plus amoxicillin, 1 gm tid; (3) lansoprazole, 30 mg tid alone; or (4) amoxicillin, 1 gm tid alone."5.08Double-blind, multicenter evaluation of lansoprazole and amoxicillin dual therapy for the cure of Helicobacter pylori infection.
