isoproterenol and Eczema, Atopic

isoproterenol has been researched along with Eczema, Atopic in 11 studies

Isoproterenol: Isopropyl analog of EPINEPHRINE; beta-sympathomimetic that acts on the heart, bronchi, skeletal muscle, alimentary tract, etc. It is used mainly as bronchodilator and heart stimulant.
isoprenaline : A secondary amino compound that is noradrenaline in which one of the hydrogens attached to the nitrogen is replaced by an isopropyl group. A sympathomimetic acting almost exclusively on beta-adrenergic receptors, it is used (mainly as the hydrochloride salt) as a bronghodilator and heart stimulant for the management of a variety of cardiac disorders.

Research Excerpts

ExcerptRelevanceReference
"Quantitative measurements of eccrine sweat secretion following stimulation with adrenaline and terbutaline sulphate, a beta-stimulator, have been performed in patients with atopic dermatitis and psoriasis by means of the electrolytic water analyzer, "Meeco"."3.65Effects of adrenergic stimulating and blocking agents on the eccrine sweat secretion in atopic dermatitis and psoriasis. ( Kocsis, M; Thune, P, 1975)
"These results imply that, in atopic eczema, lymphocytes exhibit impaired responses not only at the beta-adrenoceptor site but at unrelated sites of adenylate cyclase activation, and these observations are consistent with increased leukocyte phosphodiesterase activity."1.27Impaired lymphocyte cyclic adenosine monophosphate responses in atopic eczema. ( Archer, CB; MacDonald, DM; Morley, J, 1983)
