isoproterenol and Aura

isoproterenol has been researched along with Aura in 6 studies

Isoproterenol: Isopropyl analog of EPINEPHRINE; beta-sympathomimetic that acts on the heart, bronchi, skeletal muscle, alimentary tract, etc. It is used mainly as bronchodilator and heart stimulant.
isoprenaline : A secondary amino compound that is noradrenaline in which one of the hydrogens attached to the nitrogen is replaced by an isopropyl group. A sympathomimetic acting almost exclusively on beta-adrenergic receptors, it is used (mainly as the hydrochloride salt) as a bronghodilator and heart stimulant for the management of a variety of cardiac disorders.

Research Excerpts

ExcerptRelevanceReference
" With the use of cranial window techniques, we examined cerebral vascular responses to endothelium-dependent (hypercapnia and bradykinin) and endothelium-independent (isoproterenol and sodium nitroprusside) dilators during the recovery from bicuculline-induced seizures in saline controls and in animals pretreated with a HO inhibitor, tin protoporphyrin (SnPP)."3.72Endogenous heme oxygenase prevents impairment of cerebral vascular functions caused by seizures. ( Carratu, P; Fedinec, A; Leffler, CW; Parfenova, H; Pourcyrous, M, 2003)
"Upright tilt table testing combined with isoproterenol infusion may be useful to distinguish convulsive syncope from epileptic seizures."3.68Differentiation of convulsive syncope and epilepsy with head-up tilt testing. ( Elliott, L; Gerard, G; Grubb, BP; Hahn, H; Roush, K; Spann, C; Temesy-Armos, P, 1991)
