iopromide and Glioma

iopromide has been researched along with Glioma in 2 studies

iopromide: structure given in first source
iopromide : A dicarboxylic acid diamide that consists of N-methylisophthalamide bearing three iodo substituents at positions 2, 4 and 6, a methoxyacetyl substituent at position 5 and two 2,3-dihydroxypropyl groups attached to the amide nitrogens. A water soluble x-ray contrast agent for intravascular administration.

Glioma: Benign and malignant central nervous system neoplasms derived from glial cells (i.e., astrocytes, oligodendrocytes, and ependymocytes). Astrocytes may give rise to astrocytomas (ASTROCYTOMA) or glioblastoma multiforme (see GLIOBLASTOMA). Oligodendrocytes give rise to oligodendrogliomas (OLIGODENDROGLIOMA) and ependymocytes may undergo transformation to become EPENDYMOMA; CHOROID PLEXUS NEOPLASMS; or colloid cysts of the third ventricle. Research Excerpts

ExcerptRelevanceReference
" Therefore, the pharmacokinetic properties of the CA possess a central role: iodinated x-ray CAs are small molecules that distribute rapidly within the extravascular extracellular space, whereas larger macromolecular compounds have a prolonged vascular phase and a restricted volume of distribution."1.39Dynamic contrast-enhanced computed tomography to assess antitumor treatment effects: comparison of two contrast agents with different pharmacokinetics.
