hydrogen carbonate and Hypertrophy, Left Ventricular

hydrogen carbonate has been researched along with Hypertrophy, Left Ventricular in 5 studies

Bicarbonates: Inorganic salts that contain the -HCO3 radical. They are an important factor in determining the pH of the blood and the concentration of bicarbonate ions is regulated by the kidney. Levels in the blood are an index of the alkali reserve or buffering capacity.
hydrogencarbonate : The carbon oxoanion resulting from the removal of a proton from carbonic acid.

Hypertrophy, Left Ventricular: Enlargement of the LEFT VENTRICLE of the heart. This increase in ventricular mass is attributed to sustained abnormal pressure or volume loads and is a contributor to cardiovascular morbidity and mortality.

Trial Outcomes

24-hour Average Systolic Blood Pressure

Systolic blood pressure was measured through an ambulatory blood pressure monitoring device worn by each participant for 24 hours after completing each treatment phase. This devise measures blood pressure intermittently throughout the day and night and provides the average of all readings. (NCT02653560)
