histamine has been researched along with Alcoholism in 20 studies
Alcoholism: A primary, chronic disease with genetic, psychosocial, and environmental factors influencing its development and manifestations. The disease is often progressive and fatal. It is characterized by impaired control over drinking, preoccupation with the drug alcohol, use of alcohol despite adverse consequences, and distortions in thinking, most notably denial. Each of these symptoms may be continuous or periodic. "The aim of the present study was to investigate the ultrastructural changes developing in histaminergic neurons of the brain of 24 outbred albino male rats-after administration of ethanol in the acute experiment (single intraperitoneal dose of 1 and 4 g/kg), subacute exposure (as the sole source of drinking at a dose of 4 g/kg for 7 days), or chronic administration (at a dose of 2-3 g/kg/day for 6 months)." | 1.40 | [Ultrastructural changes in brain histaminergic neurons under the influence of alcohol].
