[The vertebral localization of arthrosis in helicopter personnel. Description of a clinical case].
    Minerva medica, 1981, Oct-06, Volume: 72, Issue:38

Following a brief description of the "mechanical factor" and chronic "microtraumatism" in the pathogenesis of arthrosis, the clinical case of a helicopter pilot with almost 15 years service is reported. Unlike frequently observed cases, the present case presented "total" involvement of the rachis, thus posing a number of problems of differential diagnosis with ankylosing spondylitis. Clinico-laboratory and X-ray data permitted precise diagnosis.
