flucytosine and Leukemia, Myelogenous, Chronic, BCR-ABL Positive

flucytosine has been researched along with Leukemia, Myelogenous, Chronic, BCR-ABL Positive in 1 studies

Flucytosine: A fluorinated cytosine analog that is used as an antifungal agent.
flucytosine : An organofluorine compound that is cytosine that is substituted at position 5 by a fluorine. A prodrug for the antifungal 5-fluorouracil, it is used for the treatment of systemic fungal infections.

It starts in MYELOID CELLS of the bone marrow, invades the blood and then other organs. The condition progresses from a stable, more indolent, chronic phase (LEUKEMIA, MYELOID, CHRONIC PHASE) lasting up to 7 years, to an advanced phase composed of an accelerated phase (LEUKEMIA, MYELOID, ACCELERATED PHASE) and BLAST CRISIS.
