floxuridine and Measles

floxuridine has been researched along with Measles in 1 studies

Floxuridine: An antineoplastic antimetabolite that is metabolized to fluorouracil when administered by rapid injection; when administered by slow, continuous, intra-arterial infusion, it is converted to floxuridine monophosphate. It has been used to treat hepatic metastases of gastrointestinal adenocarcinomas and for palliation in malignant neoplasms of the liver and gastrointestinal tract.
floxuridine : A pyrimidine 2'-deoxyribonucleoside compound having 5-fluorouracil as the nucleobase; used to treat hepatic metastases of gastrointestinal adenocarcinomas and for palliation in malignant neoplasms of the liver and gastrointestinal tract.

Measles: A highly contagious infectious disease caused by MORBILLIVIRUS, common among children but also seen in the nonimmune of any age, in which the virus enters the respiratory tract via droplet nuclei and multiplies in the epithelial cells, spreading throughout the MONONUCLEAR PHAGOCYTE SYSTEM.

"Incorporation of thymidine by measles infected PHA-activated lymphocytes was found to be depressed although production of interleukin 2 (IL-2) and expression of IL-2 receptors on these cells was similar to that of non-infected cells."7.67Depressed 3H-thymidine incorporation by measles infected mononuclear cells can be corrected by treatment with isoprinosine or 5-fluoro-2-deoxyuridine.
