Esthetic Correction of Orthodontically Transposed Teeth with Veneers and Laser Periodontal Modification.
Dental clinics of North America, 2015, Volume: 59, Issue:3

Missing teeth in the esthetic zone, whether congenital or as a result of other factors, present difficult choices in clinical management. The missing teeth can be replaced by surgical or restorative intervention but are often treated orthodontically. These repositioned teeth often lead to an unaesthetic result because of differences in morphology, color, and particularly in gingival architecture. This article describes the use of multiple lasers for periodontal modification and feldspathic porcelain veneers to achieve a highly esthetic result.

Prosthodontic considerations in the implant-supported all-ceramic restoration of congenitally missing maxillary lateral incisor: a clinical report.
Journal of prosthodontics : official journal of the American College of Prosthodontists, 2014, Volume: 23, Issue:3

The congenitally missing maxillary lateral incisor is the most common agenesis in the anterior region. There are several treatment options for this anomaly, which causes severe deficiencies: orthodontic space closure, tooth-supported restoration, or single-tooth implant. Each of these solutions has a high degree of success if used in the correct situation. An implant-supported restoration with an interdisciplinary approach provides a predictable outcome. This article describes the treatment of a patient with agenesis of the maxillary left lateral incisor. After orthodontic space management, it was decided to restore the tooth with an all-ceramic crown cemented on a zirconia custom abutment, which fractured after only 6 weeks of service. Fractographic analysis revealed that the failure was due to over-reduction of the buccal wall to correct the labial emergence of the implant. Zirconia abutments should be designed with even wall thicknesses of at least 0.8 mm to avoid areas that may compromise functional success.

Full mouth rehabilitation of a young patient with partial expressions of ectodermal dysplasia: a clinical report.
The Journal of prosthetic dentistry, 2014, Volume: 112, Issue:3

Ectodermal dysplasia (ED) is a hereditary disorder characterized by the abnormal development of specific tissues and structures of ectodermal origin. This clinical report describes the multidisciplinary approach to the diagnosis and treatment of a 24-year-old patient with partial expression of ED. The treatment plan used dental implants to support fixed prostheses and ceramic restorations to establish acceptable esthetics and provide function.
