edrophonium has been researched along with Concomitant Strabismus in 9 studies
Edrophonium: A rapid-onset, short-acting cholinesterase inhibitor used in cardiac arrhythmias and in the diagnosis of myasthenia gravis. It has also been used as an antidote to curare principles.
edrophonium : A quaternary ammonium ion that is N-ethyl-N,N-dimethylanilinium in which one of the meta positions is substituted by a hydroxy group. It is a reversible inhibitor of cholinesterase, with a rapid onset (30-60 seconds after injection) but a short duration of action (5-15 minutes). The chloride salt is used in myasthenia gravis both diagnostically and to distinguish between under- or over-treatment with other anticholinesterases. It has also been used for the reversal of neuromuscular blockade in anaesthesia, and for the management of poisoning due to tetrodotoxin, a neuromuscular blocking toxin found in puffer fish and other marine animals.

"Because the Lancaster red-green test and the Hess screen are not widely used by most ophthalmologists, we used the alternate prism-cover test to study the effect of intravenous edrophonium chloride (Tensilon) on the ocular alignment of 30 normal subjects and 14 individuals with nonmyasthenic strabismus." | 7.69 | The effect of edrophonium chloride on muscle balance in normal subjects and those with nonmyasthenic strabismus. "The interpretation of the edrophonium (Tensilon) test in the diagnosis of acquired strabismus caused by myasthenia gravis has been problematic because of poorly defined endpoints and unknown sensitivity and specificity." | 7.68 | The edrophonium-Hess screen test in the diagnosis of ocular myasthenia gravis. "A 70-year-old man with known vascular disease, who had bilateral internuclear ophthalmoplegia, and an 18-month-old girl with a long-term variable esotropia culminating in a postinfectious oculopharyngeal neuropathy both responded with a positive edrophonium chloride (Tensilon) test, strongly suggesting the diagnosis of myasthenia gravis." | 3.66 | Ocular myasthenia gravis mimicking pseudointernuclear ophthalmoplegia and variable esotropia.
