dextroamphetamine and Tachyarrhythmia

dextroamphetamine has been researched along with Tachyarrhythmia in 6 studies

Dextroamphetamine: The d-form of AMPHETAMINE. It is a central nervous system stimulant and a sympathomimetic. It has also been used in the treatment of narcolepsy and of attention deficit disorders and hyperactivity in children. Dextroamphetamine has multiple mechanisms of action including blocking uptake of adrenergics and dopamine, stimulating release of monamines, and inhibiting monoamine oxidase. It is also a drug of abuse and a psychotomimetic.
(S)-amphetamine : A 1-phenylpropan-2-amine that has S configuration.

Research Excerpts

ExcerptRelevanceReference
"This condition recently named as sympathetic neural hyperalgesia edema syndrome can present with symptoms of a pheochromocytoma and will respond to therapy with low dosages of dextroamphetamine sulfate."3.80The sympathetic neural hyperalgesia/edema syndrome, a common cause of female pelvic pain, manifesting as a pseudopheochromocytoma with marked clinical improvement with sympathomimetic amines. ( Check, JH; Cohen, R; Katsoff, B, 2014)
"The relative bioavailability of oral lisdexamfetamine dimesylate, a prodrug of d-amphetamine, and active d-amphetamine was assessed in an open-label, single-dose, 3-treatment, 3-period, randomized, crossover study in 18 healthy adult volunteers."2.73Relative bioavailability of lisdexamfetamine 70-mg capsules in fasted and fed healthy adult volunteers and in solution: a single-dose, crossover pharmacokinetic study. ( Krishnan, S; Zhang, Y, 2008)
" The unique pharmacokinetic profile owing to lisdexamfetamine's prodrug design and rate-limited enzymatic biotransformation allows for once-daily dosing with a duration of activity of approximately 12 hours."2.45Lisdexamfetamine for treatment of attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder.
