dextroamphetamine has been researched along with ANS (Autonomic Nervous System) Diseases in 7 studies
Dextroamphetamine: The d-form of AMPHETAMINE. It is a central nervous system stimulant and a sympathomimetic. It has also been used in the treatment of narcolepsy and of attention deficit disorders and hyperactivity in children. Dextroamphetamine has multiple mechanisms of action including blocking uptake of adrenergics and dopamine, stimulating release of monamines, and inhibiting monoamine oxidase. It is also a drug of abuse and a psychotomimetic.
(S)-amphetamine : A 1-phenylpropan-2-amine that has S configuration.

"Dextroamphetamine sulfate 30 mg extended release capsules was given to a woman to try to help her conceive since, with her pelvic pain, chronic fatigue syndrome, and diarrhea, it was thought that an inflammatory condition related to permeation of unwanted chemicals into endometrial tissue related to the sympathetic neural hyperalgesia edema syndrome could be inhibiting her failure from conceiving despite three cycles of embryo transfer." | 3.85 | Sympathetic neural hyperalgesia edema syndrome as a cause of autoimmune hearing loss. ( Check, JH, 2017) |
"This condition recently named as sympathetic neural hyperalgesia edema syndrome can present with symptoms of a pheochromocytoma and will respond to therapy with low dosages of dextroamphetamine sulfate." | 3.80 | The sympathetic neural hyperalgesia/edema syndrome, a common cause of female pelvic pain, manifesting as a pseudopheochromocytoma with marked clinical improvement with sympathomimetic amines. ( Check, JH; Cohen, R; Katsoff, B, 2014) |
"Dextroamphetamine sulfate was prescribed to a woman who developed acute lower backache which was attributed to herniated lumbar discs." | 1.37 | Sympathetic nervous system disorder of women that leads to pelvic pain and symptoms of interstitial cystitis may be the cause of severe backache and be very responsive to medical therapy rather than surgery despite the presence of herniated discs. ( Check, JH; Cohen, R; Wilson, C, 2011) |
"Dextroamphetamine sulfate was prescribed to a 33-year-old woman with intractable migraine headaches resistant to standard therapy." | 1.37 | Evidence that migraine headaches in women may be related to a common defect in the sympathetic nervous system as evidenced by marked improvement following treatment with sympathomimetic amines. ( Check, D; Check, JH; Cohen, R, 2011) |
